Peugeot saves CO2: 207 99G
Saarbrücken, 2 October 2009 – Peugeot 207 now sets the young to be particularly fuel-saving option to: the 207 99G is to make do with 3.8 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers. Translated, this means a carbon-dioxide emissions of 99 grams per kilometer. Thus the 207 99G is the first Peugeot, undercutting of the CO2 emissions of the 100-gram limit.
Many improvements
In the 207 99G tinkers a 1.6-liter diesel with 90 hp and maximum torque of 215 Newton meters. To reduce consumption, have been adapted gear ratio and engine control. For the reduction of nitrogen oxides of the 207 99G gets an improved exhaust gas recirculation – said nitrogen oxides formed when nitrogen contained in the air is burned. To optimize the aerodynamics Peugeot uses a package of measures: How will the car be lowered by five millimeters and front grille, front spoiler lip and front air intakes have to put up as well as a revision of the subsoil. There are also new wheel covers and a new spoiler above the rear window.
