The assembly of the Audi A3 and A3 Sportback in Ingolstadt plant is distinguished by its efficient production processes. For the automobile manufacturers will now receive the “Automotive Lean Production Award”. This award is jointly conferred by the trade magazine “Automobil Produktion” and by the consultancy Agamus Consult.

The competition is about increasing efficiency through continuous improvement in production processes in the automotive industry. 70 companies, manufacturers and suppliers from across Europe have this year participated in the competition.
